Rhea obtained her LLM at University College London with a specialisation in international commercial law, and her LLB and BA degrees at Shanghai International Studies University. 
 

Rhea is qualified in both the People’s Republic of China and England & Wales. She also obtained the ESG Investment Certificate from the CFA Institution. 


Having been trained with a US firm at the beginning of her career, Rhea has had a broad exposure to international clients. Her practice areas include corporate and commercial law, cross-border investment and mergers & acquisitions, dispute resolution, and comprehensive corporate compliance matters covering labour and employment, intellectual property, cybersecurity, ESG, and more. She has served clients in various industries such as oil and gas energy, advanced technology, fashion and fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, education, and healthcare.


With practical experience in complex cross-border transactions and a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, as well as innovative business models, she provides legal services that are highly aligned with her clients' business needs and remain at the forefront of industry trends.


Recent representative matters: 


•    Advised on the renewable energy investment project of a major Chinese client in Europe.
•    Advised on Chinese client’s investment projects in Africa as part of the belt & road initiative.
•    Provided comprehensive compliance and regulatory advice for the UK market for clients in consumer goods,       electronic bikes and the medical diagnostics sectors.
•    Advised on greenfield investment and operations of a Chinese listed company in Europe.
•    Represented the PE fund in its €140 million sale of its stakes in an online advertisement to a Frankfurt and Stockholm listed company. The transaction spanned China, the US, and Europe.
